The study, now in its second year, tracks and compares the performance of companies with between 50 and 400 employees. Top-performing firms vie for recognition as one of Canada’s Best Small and Medium Employers. And regardless of whether your firm makes the top ten, you still receive a complimentary highlight report that identifies the drivers of employee engagement.
The focus of the study is getting companies the feedback they need from employees throughout the organization. “Our phenomenal growth and success over the last two [years] are a direct result of the extraordinary efforts of all our employees,” Kris Dolinki, BCom’94, CEO of Zoom Airlines, said of his firm’s success. Zoom was recognized last year as one of Canada’s 10 Best Small and Medium Employers. “We value their input in every facet of the business,” Kris affirmed.
Led by Queen’s School of Business strategy professor Elspeth Murray and Queen’s Centre for Business Venturing Advisor Einar Westerlund, the study aims to identify the key workplace challenges faced by small and medium-sized enterprises. “Getting insight from the frontlines on the challenges faced by SMEs helps us to build an agenda for teaching and research,” Professor Murray explained.
Whether your firm is competing for top ranking, or simply looking for a free diagnostic tool, your participation is eagerly sought by our research team.
