Former Warner Lambert CEO and School benefactor meets with students

2004-10-04
- The Atrium of Goodes Hall was filled with students, faculty and staff at a ‘Town Hall’ meeting that featured guest speaker Mel Goodes, BCom’57, and principal benefactor of Goodes Hall.

Mel shared his insights and recollections of his student days, and years at the helm of Warner Lambert, then welcomed questions from an enthusiastic group of students, many of whom gathered round after the presentation to shake his hand.

It was a busy day at the School for Mel and his wife Nancy, with Mel addressing the MBA for Science & Technology class in the morning, lunching with student leaders and special guests, speaking at the Town Hall, and touring the newly renamed Monieson Centre (formerly Queen’s Centre for Knowledge Based Enterprises), that was founded with a generous donation from Mel in 1998.
