A Term Adjunct Teaching Position is open in Queen's School of Business for an instructor to teach in an off-campus, lecture-type graduate course in the Masters of Management in Finance Program. The course is MFIN 825 - Advanced Financial Modeling and is a fall term course being offered in Toronto, Ontario in four (4) bi-weekly 7 hour sessions beginning Sunday September 16, 2012 and concluding on Sunday October 28th, 2012. The successful applicant will be required to teach 100 % of MFIN 825 to be delivered to one section of students. Anticipated enrollment is 50 students.
The course is described as follows:
Students will be introduced to financial modeling, and the focus will be on "best practices" and developing practical models (including Excel models) that can be used today, and that can also be modified and used in the future. Topics and/or data management sources and techniques may vary from one year to the next.
Qualifications include significant experience in the Investment Banking industry, hold the CFA designation, have a business degree (preferably a Master's degree), have experience in providing Excel-based financial modeling and valuation training to professionals in the financial community, and bring a hands-on, interactive approach to teaching.
